Yahoo mail is one of the worst email servers out there. If using Yahoo for your email service, most likely you are not getting all your good email due to Yahoo’s antispam system rejects most email not coming from Yahoo mail servers.
Here is an example of the server error of this rejection below.
Connecting to g.mx.mail.yahoo.com [98.137.54.238]:25 … connected
SMTP<< 421 4.7.0 [TS02] Messages from 67.242.6.134 temporarily deferred – 4.16.56.1;
see http://postmaster.yahoo.com/errors/421-ts02.html
SMTP>> QUIT
This means your email that your friend that tried to send you was rejected.
So stay away from Yahoo mail for as web based email. GMAIL is so far much better way to go in this matter beside just getting your own domain with your own email on a good hosting provider like Point Action Services http://pointaction.com
